As a pediatric occupational therapist I am super excited about this lid as it has SOOO many different possibilities and many of the items are things that you can find around your home!!! There are four color options shown. The first is shown inside the Carry-Play Table and is the frosted version, the other photos are shown in the Flisat table to give you an idea of color! Placing items through the holes (such as a shoe lace for lacing or pipe cleaners) will build fine motor skills, pincer grip, and hand eye coordination. You can: String beads to continue to develop fine motor skills. Put golf tees on the pegs and a Pom Pom on top, then blow it off the tee into the next bin for a great breath support and lung development excersize. Work on finger isolation tasks by flicking the Pom Pom into the next bin. Practice bow tying with your shoe laces. Use rubber bands or hair ties and place them around the golf tees to work on hand motor skills that are needed to begin using scissors. So much more! What else will you come up with? Item is water resistant but not water proof. Lid should not be used to eat from. If splintering or cracks appear with use, discontinue use and discard.
