This is a fine and rare French Charles X period, c. 1830, writing implement set fitted in a lidded rosewood box inlaid with the word Bureau on the lid.  The lid opens to an interior fitted with a satin lined bed and writing implements made of carved sandalwood and decorated with marcasite.  The set is complete with all of its original components and is in very good condition.
