In gin's earlier days, when glass was too fragile and expensive and plastic and stainless steel were not options, gin was transported in wooden barrels. And so, became wood-aged. With Citadelle Reserve, Maison Ferrand celebrates the modern rebirth of golden gins. What began as a ‘family’ experiment in 2008 and shared with a few inquisitive bartenders and friends has now blossomed into a regular release.

Brilliant clear color. Delicate, floral, grassy aromas and flavors of lemon verbena and basil, lemon pudding cake, fruit loops, and pickled melon with a silky, crisp, petillant, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, interesting, medium-length candied violets, earl grey tea with cream, and minerals finish. A bright, punchy gin with nice lemon and pepper notes that will cut through in cocktails.
