      The Isle of Berk, also known as Berk and Old Berk, is a relatively small island that serves as the primary setting for the DreamWorks Dragons franchise. This island was previously home to the many Vikings of the Hooligan Tribe and many dragons as well. Berk is a small island that Hiccup states is twelve days north of "Hopelessness" and a few degrees south of "Freezing to Death", though such places are not confirmed to exist in the franchise and are likely an inspiration of Hiccup's sarcasm
