It has been far too long since LEGO released an OFFICIAL updated set. So I took matters in my own hand. An important thing for me was to make is as movie accurate as possible, and having play features. It has a single or dual rockets fire mechanism. It can drop bombs. It holds one TIE-Pilot and one TIE-Bombardier. The TIE-Bomber is one of the most awesome and iconic ships from Star Wars. I looked at a lot of references. Many references are contradictory I regards size and proportions. It basically came down to that there are two designs of the bomber. Looking very closely at the film footage and the incredible cross section book, I choose one design to make a LEGO version from it.
