On ne pourra pas reprocher à la NoteSlate de s'ajouter aux multiples tablettes Android aux caractéristiques souvent si proches qu'on les distingue mal. Cette tablette au format A4 utilise un écran eInk, mais ne sert pas à lire contrairement aux Kindle et autres liseuses numériques. La NoteSlate est équipée d'un écran tactile et d'un stylet et elle sert exclusivement à prendre des notes. L'idée est de se rapprocher au maximum du concept de cahier, mais d'en proposer une version électronique.
