At some point along the way, Rhum Clement's Premiere Canne got a rebrand as the more straightforward Rhum Blanc Agricole Martinique. (Canne Bleue, a 100 proof white rum expression, is still around.) This 80 proof product, distilled from sugarcane, is as tried and true as they come, featuring present but not overly aggressive petrol notes

Agricole Challenge

Rhum Clément Blanc 40%

Exceptionally clean, high, fruity and spicy at the same time no off notes of bitter/burnt smell you can get with a molasses product, a dry mineral smell similar to a Highland Tequila from the volcanic soil. Also a dry aromatic citrus like a lime or Bhuddas Hand Citron. Almost rocks you back on your heels, there is a tremendous rush of heavy duty flavors and impressions, oak, pepper, citrus, tarragon, licorice, floral notes, tar, plug pipe tobacco, sea weed, leather.

Rhum Running

This is the only American rum using single-origin 100% fresh sugarcane juice, grown and distilled in the French Caribbean on the island of Marie-Galante and then aged and finished in Napa, California. The production process is not just eco-positive and carbon-neutral, but it's actually carbon negative as growing cane sequesters CO2 gas from the atmosphere into the earth.

Clément Canne Bleue Rhum Blanc Agricole is made from one varietal of sugarcane -- blue sugarcane. After pressing and fermentation, it is distilled once. The resulting distillate rests for just over six months in a stainless steel vat. Distilled volcanic spring water is slowly added to bring the product to 50% ABV before bottling. Sweet smells of freshly-cut cane and mowed grass at first yields to hints of citrus flowers and tropical fruit.
