Lagavulin 16 ans Surnommé le « prince Islay » est un single malt très tourbé élaboré sur l'île d'Islay en écosse. Ce whisky est devenu le représentant de la région en étant sélectionné pour la représenter dans les Classic Malts. Au nez, on oscille entre terre et mer avec des notes iodées et fumées. En bouche, le Lagavulin 16 ans est explosif. Après la tourbe, ce sont le fumé et l’iode qui s’exprimeront avant de laisser place aux notes de fruits procurées par sa seconde maturation en fûts de sherry. Durant la finale, longue et puissante, la fumée sera rejointe par des notes épicées et fruitées élégamment mariées grâce à la douceur de la vanille.
